This seminar will be a hands-on workshop focusing on Grant Wiggins/Jay McTighe's Understanding by Design (UbD) model of curriculum planning. We'll explore how the model can be used by teaching artists and arts organizations to aid in creating residencies, and get an update on how the DOE is adapting UbD for use in conjunction with the Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Arts. The session promises to be valuable for both teaching artists and program administrators.
